Supervisor Spotlight - Angela Schneider

I am honored to be elected as Sterling Township’s Supervisor. My term began on May 17th, 2021. My goals for this term include reducing unnecessary spending, being actively involved in the community, and educating citizens about what the township does.

I believe that townships should help meet the needs of its citizen’s while simultaneously being conservate and responsible with the taxpayer’s money. The needs of a community change and townships need to be responsive and adaptable. Although townships are required to fulfill 3 main responsibilities, some townships offer additional programs.

As Supervisor, it is my job to oversee our General Assistance and Emergency Assistance program. These programs help with basic needs such as rent, utilities, and food for those who qualify. Townships are required by law to provide General Assistance, property assessment , and maintenance of roads outside city limits. Many townships also maintain cemeteries.

I would love to hear from you. Please contact me with any thoughts, ideas, or concerns you may have. Your voice matters and we can achieve more together. Thank you for the the opportunity to serve our community.
