Riverside Cemetery was established in the early 1800s as a burial grounds for the early settlers of Sterling. It is composed of several different cemeteries. The Sterling Cemetery Association was created on February 16, 1865. The cemetery was sold to Sterling Township in 1955 and renamed it Riverside Cemetery. The cemetery is 42 acres in size.
Cemetery main gates open at 7am daily. Main gates will automatically lock at dusk. The 19th Ave. gate is locked at 3pm weekdays and closed on weekends and holidays.

**OT Plus – Saturday after 12pm $1800 for full burial – $1000 for cremation burial – and all Holiday Burials OT plus – New Years Day, MLK Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day, Columbus Day, Veterans Day. No burials on Sundays, Thanksgiving or Christmas
Babyland space – $300 includes use of grave, Gr Op/Cl, small marker – size restrictions
There are no deeds issued with use of babyland lots
